Beam Caliper is an easy-to-use application for determining the type and size of standard American steel beams. Only four measurements are needed to determine the beam type and size. You have the option to input these measurements in either decimal or fractional format. For increased accuracy, be sure to carefully take measurements perpendicular to the cross section of the beam. Significant distortions and/or modifications to the beam at the point of measurement may affect the accuracy of your results.
